Part of my trip to NYC, more on my trip tomorrow. This is a picture taken in the subway proving that not all NYC residents are always in a rush.

Daily Deviation

Given 2005-01-08

We will remember 8 January 2005 as either the last day anyone will be permitted to take photographs in a NYC subway without a press pass or as the day photographers throughout the country celebrated the defeat of that proposed ban. Take a moment to take in a New York Minute by *CubeMonster while reflecting upon the liberties we have come to rely on as artists, and how valuable those liberties are to us. I really like this picture. I've been to New York before, and it is rare to find it at rest, but when you do, it's always so eerie. I think you've captured that emotion here. The bright, colored lights glaringly shining and the damp, almost dirty floors. I like that. Very real feeling.

I particularily enjoy the lights, the reflection of them on the tile, and the lone reader. Really nice.
